What happens when temperatures begin to rise and flowers start to bloom? Envision Unlimited members take full advantage of the great outdoors! They recently spent a couple of unforgettable weekends at Big Marsh Park – pitching tents, hiking, singing campfire songs and roasting hot dogs, potatoes and s’mores. Members are also enjoying our Adaptive Cycling program by pedaling down The 606 Trail and Big Marsh Park every week. They even took a recent spin around the nation’s second oldest velodrome in Northbrook as part of our Summer of Cycling series!
On July 22, we will welcome cyclists from – Pi Kappa Phi fraternity’s philanthropy initiative – The Ability Experience – to our Westtown Center. The group's “friendship visit” takes place during its annual cross-country ride, which raises awareness about people with disabilities and the benefits of cycling.
Our series will continue on Aug. 7, as we take in the breathtaking sights of Chicago’s skyline while cruising along the Lakefront Trail. Then, we’ll wrap the summer with our signature cycling events: Bike the Drive and the North Shore Century.
We invite you to join us for as many rides as possible! Bring your own bike or try one of our adaptive cycles. If you don’t feel like riding, that’s okay! You’re welcome to come, cheer on the cyclists and enjoy the day with us.
