Working together and growing healthy food for the surrounding southwest side community is the focus of the Edwin & Florence Frick Center. Our Horticulture Program is a uniquely therapeutic and stimulating environment offered to clients of all ages. Individuals are taught the basic principles of practical gardening with the objective of understanding healthy living and meal preparation. Through both our indoor and outdoor urban gardening programs, our clients have the opportunity to care for and harvest crops which then get distributed and sold to the families of the local neighborhood and at farmers markets.
