Building Belonging Through Incredible Connections

August 2026

The Beatles famously sang that we all get by with a little help from our friends. At Envision Unlimited, we thrive with the support of our dedicated staff, neighbors and community partners. This year has been particularly fulfilling, thanks to relationships we’re building with local organizations.

Over the summer, our members with disabilities and mental health challenges enjoyed an energetic day of gardening, creating art and biking with helpful volunteers from Ferrara. The visit was part of the company’s fifth annual Day of Service, where their teams volunteered with more than 30 organizations, including Envision Unlimited.

Our member William gave the group a professional tour of our Westtown Center, sharing his vibrant personality and knowledge of our Arts Studio and Adaptive Cycling programs. Making a difference and being able to give back is really important, one volunteer said.

We also spent time with volunteers from engineering and design firm Stantec through the annual Stantec in the Community Week. Our members ventured downtown to the firm’s Chicago headquarters to share lunch and create art together.

With relationships like these, we can foster a more inclusive community for people with disabilities and mental health challenges.
