Here’s a look at last year – Bright Futures Ball 2017 was a huge success!
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, and most importantly, the people served by Envision Unlimited, THANK YOU for supporting our 2017 Bright Futures Ball.
Our annual event was tremendous fun for all 350 of us in attendance, but it was also a tremendous evening for advancing the choice, independence, and inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Here are some of the highlights from the gala:
- The standing ovation received by client Leona Benion after she shared her Envision experiences…and the transcendent smile on her face for the rest of the evening.
- Our Legacy of Achievement award winner, Aon, and the compelling remarks given on the company’s behalf by Cook County Commissioner, Bridget Gainer.
- Our live auction raised more than $45,000 for Envision’s mission – a number that includes $17,000 during a heated (and very entertaining) bidding war over a luxury suite at a Blackhawks game! Who said the Hawks had a down year, right?
- The unveiling of our video highlighting the transformative Community Inclusion Initiative piloted at Hamilton Park in Chicago’s Englewood community. Please share this video with your friends, family, and colleagues.
We are so grateful for your support of the 2017 Bright Futures Ball. In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to sharing not just pictures, but stories of actual impact reflecting what your generosity helped make possible.
