Envision Unlimited and Neumann Family Services are pleased to announce plans to merge organizations. The combined agency, which will retain the name Envision Unlimited, will provide a continuum of residential, clinical, recreational, instructional, and employment services to nearly 1,500 individuals with disabilities.
“The partnership between Envision Unlimited and Neumann Family Services will meld our individual organizational strengths to better support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), those with mental illness (MI), and those who are dually diagnosed,” said Mark McHugh, President and CEO of Envision Unlimited. “Our role is to help individuals have more control in their lives and to live as independently as possible in their community. I believe that together we are more strongly positioned to anticipate and exceed the needs of those whom we serve.”
“We are incredibly excited to unite two organizations with over a century of combined experience providing cutting-edge programs and services to adults with I/DD, mental illness, or those have received a dual diagnosis,” said Paul Selden, CEO of Neumann Family Services. “With uncertainty around healthcare and behavioral health services for so many, it is imperative that we strategically prepare for the future.”
Mr. McHugh will continue as President and CEO at Envision Unlimited, and Mr. Selden will assume the position of Chief Strategy Officer, a new role that recognizes the changing landscape of I/DD and MI services, and of integrated healthcare overall, as well as the importance of ongoing innovation.
Over the decades, both organizations have been catalysts in Illinois for the transition of individuals out of institutional care and into community-based services. By joining forces, the new Envision Unlimited will create a broader continuum of services and further increase the effective and efficient delivery of support for people with disabilities. Over the next two months, the two organizations will work together to execute a final merger agreement. Additional details will be released to the public as they become available.
We look forward to this new chapter and hope you do as well! Thank you for your continued support.
